Van Vuuren and Co Attorneys Incorporated is committed to a high standard of client care. This procedure explains how to raise a concern or complaint about the firm’s service.
1. Raising a complaint with the firm
In the first instance, please direct your complaint in writing to info@vanvuureninc.co.za, setting out the matter reference, the nature of the concern and the outcome you seek.
2. How we handle it
- We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 business days;
- We will review the matter and respond substantively within 20 business days; and
- Where more time is required, we will keep you informed of progress.
3. Legal Practice Council
If a complaint cannot be resolved with the firm, you may lodge a complaint with the Legal Practice Council, which regulates attorneys in South Africa, at lpc.org.za.
4. Fidelity Fund
Claims relating to the theft of trust money may, in defined circumstances, be addressed to the Legal Practitioners’ Fidelity Fund (LPFF). The LPFF can be contacted at lpff.org.za.
